Hello, Welcome to Just Answer
Are you available for chat now?
yes, i'm available
What was the nature of injury and is only left inner canthus burnt?
i got burnt from the stove, something bursted in there, n i closed my eyes. i just got stucked on my inner canthus. and now its just a black spot there. i were glasses because i feel uncomfortable about it....yes only the left inner canthus
The most likely cause for unequal canthi is formation of scar tissue ( from natural healing process).
so, how can i get help. i no longer want to wear glasses as i'm hiding that, any help please
If you want to get rid of the scar then it would require oculoplastic surgery by a oculoplastic surgeon.
Oculoplasctic surgeon is an ophthalmologist with additional training in ocular plastic surgery.
do we have any here in south africa, i'm in MPUMALANGA N wil do anything to remove that
Do you wear glasses only to hide the scar or do you need glasses to see clearly?
to hide actually, yes i'm myopic, but i can still do without glasses
Just trying to find out if there are doctors available in your part of the country....
o.k. i'l wait
must i still wait, are you still there
Sorry my search was not very fruitful .
I could get the list of hospitals but finding a specialist was not possible.
are they there in those hospitals?
What I can suggest you to do is consult the nearest ophthalmologist who in turn would be able to guide you further to an oculoplastic surgeon.
o.k. thanx...i will do so. is there no any medication that maybe i can use that can remove the dark spot slowly but surely
Since you have mentioned unequal canthi, it points towards scarring which is why the need for corrective surgery.
0.k. thank u
