You seem to have unusual symptoms

The first possibility that might be there in your case is an allergy. Allergies usually vary with season change over the year. They are also associated with some itching. Zaditor is a good eye drop and some improvement is usually noticed in allergies. This is true for mild cases. In severe or chronic allergies, additional eye drops might be required like visine-A, Naphcon-A etc (available over the counter). These are again mild drops and should be used with zaditor. But if there is no improvement, then you need to consult an Ophthalmologist for a detailed first hand evaluation and if need be giving mild steroid eye drops.

Also, sometimes mild associated dryness can cause collection of debris or discharge in the morning. So, using lubricating eye drops like genteal/optive/refresh tears etc (available over the counter) would take care of the dryness.
