working on long time on computers without break can cause some eye strain
also in chronic computer users there ca occur dryness of eyes over time
the symptoms are worsened if the lighting is poor or you are sittiing not properly
there are some guidelines to follow while working on computers
Take a break after every 11/2 to 2 hours. Get up from the workstation and walk 20paces one side and 20 paces the other side. Sit on your chair and close eyes for 3-4 minutes.
Consciously blink your eyes more frequently as the blink rate is reduced withcontinuous work on computers causing dryness.
use lubricating eye drops like refresh tears/genteal/optive etc in routine.
these are available over the counter
Eliminate glare and screen reflections by moving or tilting the computer or gettingan anti-glare screen.
if you want to use, you ca use plain glasses
but if your lighting is good and you take breaks in between, you should not need glasses
