Hello, my upper right eyelid is swollen above the tear duct.

Resolved Question:

Hello, my upper right eyelid is swollen above the tear duct. I do wear extended-wear contacts and fell asleep with them last night. I also had a lot of alochol last night. There is no redness on the eyeball or pain. I haven't tried anything yet. I do not have any other symptoms either. Since this just occurred, could this be serious?

The swelling can be due to a block gland in that area. Treatment for this is to use warm compresses 3-4 times a day to soften the plugged oils and allow it to drain.

If it worsens or does not improve, you should see your eye doctor for an evaluation.
