Cataracts can impair your vision, cause eye strain and as a result cause headaches. The definitive treatment for cataracts is surgery to remove the cloudy lens and implant a clear plastic lens. The surgery is quick, usually 15-30 minutes in duration, and done with local anesthesia in an outpatient surgery center.

If you are not ready for surgery, then you can see your ophthalmologist for an update on your glasses prescription.
