I hav not seen eye doctor for 4 months
A common side effect of refractive eye surgery is dry eyes. Most patients will have some measure of dry eyes after the surgery. It is important to keep your eyes lubricated. The foreign body sensation you have are similar to complaints in patients who have dry eyes. The feel as if they may have "rocks" or "grains of sand" in their eyes.
If it worsens despite good lubrication of your eyes, you should see your ophthalmologist again for an evaluation.
Woul you recommend a suitable treatment?
Frequent use of artificial tears.
How long might i need to do this?
For laser related dry eyes, it may take 6-12 months for the corneal nerves to regeneration following the laser treatment.
