What is the average distance an eye at 30 can distinguish fine print?

Welcome to Just Answer

The average distance at which small print should be visible for a 30 year old with no glasses, is 25 cms. After the age of 40 this distance begins to recede and small prints appear blurred due to age related changes in the eye and is called presbyopia. Children have the best near vision and can read prints as close as 7 cms too. But this distance varies from person to person depending on whether they have any short or long sightedness.
