Hello,

Welcome to Just Answer

If the white of the eye is very red but not painful , then very likely that it is a sub-conjunctival hemorrhage in which the small blood vessels in the conjunctiva rupture .
It generally does not require any treatment as it resolves on its own within 7-10 days. In the meanwhile it changes color and may become more dark, and eventually disappear.

For soothening effect you may instill Refresh tears eye drops(OTC) ,1drop 4 times a day.

Thanks and best wishes
