I am 63 yrs old, female, blue eyes. Nearsighted. I have had black floaters in the past. No longer noticeable. Now I am experiencing a halo similiar to moving water (clear in color) around the perimeter of both eyes. Lasts 5 to 10 min. Has happened 3x in last month.
Please diagnose what this could be.

Do you have a history of migraine?

Does the hallow looks like a rainbow?

Is the vision affected?

I have had flashes of yellow light in the past but that was several years ago

When you had flashes of light in the past you could have posterior vitreous detachment at that time. At this point of time, it is important to get a dilated fundus examination done to ensure that everything is fine with retina. You should see an ophthalmologist for examination. Besides retinal problem, other possibilities could be an ocular migraine or anxiety. Thanks and best wishes.
