Resolved Question:

I was diagnosed with a pseudo tumor on the optic nerve behind my right eye. I live in the Chattanooga, TN area & need to know where to find a reputable doctor to treat or remove this tumor. There is none in Chattanooga that I have found.

Do you have an actual tumor behind the right eye or a condition called "pseudotumor cerebri"?
Has your ophthalmologist referred you to a specialist already?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
It is an actual around the optic nerve. The opthalmologist did not know of anyone in my area that could do the surgery to remove it.
Expert:  Dr. James replied 6 years ago.

The doctors who specialize in tumor of the optic nerve and orbits are specialty trained ophthalmologists. There is one listed in Knoxville and many others in Nashville.
