Yes, I tear up very often. I do have a bit of burning,stinging but not constantly. Myeyes don't crust and there is no apparent matter. I am 81 yrs.old. My eyes are now starting to puff underneath the eye.

you may indeed be suffering from allergies. Sometimes, the drops alone are not sufficient for relief. I suggest purchasing Claritin, which is now available over the counter, 10mg tablets and using them once a day.   You also need to lubricate the eyes with something like Optive or Soothe XP, these are at most drug stores. Use either one 3 times a day. I find often that the folks with "allergies" have underlying surface problems and a soothing lubricant goes a long way in helping. I wish you well, Dr. Stevens
