my contact lens prescription is expired, however, i asked my eye doctor what brand of contact lenses i wore three years ago and he does not want to tell me. Do I have a legal right to know what type of contacts i wore in the past?

Your contact lens prescription is part of your medical record and can be accessed by you. You just need to request a record release and sign the required HIPAA forms. Your physician was probably just concerned about giving you your prescription since it is expired.
