I was diagnosed with DM II 3 weeks ago, with an A1C of 13.9.

Resolved Question:

I was diagnosed with DM II 3 weeks ago, with an A1C of 13.9. I started taking metformin 850mg bid, and glipizide 5mg bid. I am 50 yrs. old and have only needed to wear reading glasses for the last few years. Since starting on the meds and my blood sugars lowering to 80- 140, I can't see. Everything is so blurry. Will my vision eventually get better as my eyes adjust to the new sugar levels.

Hello there

indeed, over several weeks, your sugars will stabilize more, and your vision will return to its baseline. It is entirely possible, you may need bifocals at some point in the future, Regards XXXXX
