What are or what could bet he white blotches on my upper eyelid I

This answer was rated:

What is the small white blotches (two) on my upper eyelid???
There are two small (ever so slightly raised) blotches showed up a couple of months ago and now it is more noticeable. It looks like a bleach spot. I am a 48 year old male.

How large are the spots? Are they round? Or kind of ovoid?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Dr Chan,
The size of the spot is about "two match heads" and I would say they are oval. It is ever so slightly raised.

It sounds like what you have may be xanthalasma. They are lipid deposits on your eyelids. They are usually found on upper lids and are more often than not on both upper lids. They are benign and can be surgically removed; however, then will tend to recur. In a young patient, I usually recommend checking a lipid profile to see if your lipid or cholesterol is high.

Hope this helps.
