Hi,
Kindly give some more information -
- what is your age and gender?
- is the darkening of the sclera (white portion of eye) present since birth?
- is it progressing?
- have you had an eye evaluation done?
- do you wear spectacles, if yes, what power?
Regards

Thanks for the information.
A dark colored sclera is mostly due to thinning of the sclera, allowing the darker uveal tissue under it to be visible. Rarely, there can be calcium deposits or pigmentation on the sclera. Since it has been present for a long time, there is no need to worry. But I would advise you to get an eye evaluation done specially of the retina of the eye. Rarely, there may be presence of melanoma in the eye, which can cause dark color of the sclera. Though in your case it does not seem to be the cause because the discolaration is present for long time.
There is no specific treatment to lighten the color. As long as it is not increasing in size and there are no other symptoms like decreased vision etc, there is no need to worry.
