Taken Benadryl today, but the lids are still puffy

Resolved Question:

I have had an allergic reaction to something I have eaten. Taken Benadryl today, but the lids are still puffy. What can I do to reduce the swelling?

Cool compresses would help quite a bit with the swelling. Sometimes a little steroids (such as eyedrops or medrol dose pack) may help as well. The other important thing is to also make sure that you are not having other symptoms of this allergy, such as breathing difficulties or hives. If so, you may need to go to the Emergency Room.
