What you are describing can be -
- a pink eye or eye flu. A viral eye flu presents with redness, watering, irritation in one eye.
- other infections like herpes of the eye or inflammation like uveitis.
You need to consult an Ophthalmologist for a detailed evaluation and starting treatment. In the meantime -
- apply cold compresses with ice on the closed eye
- use lubricating eye drops like refresh tears/tears naturale II/ optive etc (available OTC).
