i am a 61 year old male. yes there is itching, redness, and a discharge that feels oily to the touch. i am on medicine for diabetes and inhalers for asthma and copd

What you are experiencing is eye allergy. The treatment for this is -
- apply cold compresses on closed eye lids with ice
- wear goggles
- use anti-allergy eye drops like zaditor/patanol (available OTC)
