an industrial battery exploded and splattered acid all over

This answer was rated:

an industrial battery exploded and splattered acid all over a person's face and in the eyes around 8am. he rinsed his eyes at the eye wash station for 15-20 minutes. they are no longer red, but pink, not in as much pain anymore either, but definitely still burning around the tear ducts. it is 4 hours later and he has not sought professional help yet. it's sunday, should he go to er now or wait for an appointment tomorrow? thanks.
Time is of the essense, he needs to have the eyes irrigated some more, and more importantly the PH should be checked. He should also have some antibiotic on board. I would suggest he been seen in the ER today, Regards
