Hello Everybody, Yeah what the hell.........Party/Cookout- My house XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. This Sun May 27th from 2-10. Bring a bottle. (If I see a bottle of Andre, Freixenet, Apple Cider or ANY equivalent you gots to roll!!!! Is this proper for the Host to demand this?
Already Tried: This Host also a good friend has made these demands before or complained when guest did not comply.
As you suspect, there is nothing 'right' about this invitation. It is disrespectful, crude and it is highly offensive to demand that any guest bring anything at all, let alone require them to bring what the host wants. I understand that perhaps this was written with humor and probably by a very young person (I hope) who simply doesn't understand manners. Given that they are old enough to have a party though, it fails to really justify this. Perhaps when people stop going to these gatherings and give some of their own with proper invitations and hosting, this person will learn by example. BotXXX XXne, you're right - it's wrong
