If the wedding couple is scheduled to be married in June but invited guests send the wedding gift early, like April, is it appropriate to send the thank you note now or wait until after the wedding?

Thanks for your question. The rule is that you should try to send thank-you notes for gifts received before the wedding within two weeks of their arrival. If you do not get them sent out before the wedding then send them all out within a month after you return from honeymoon. For notes sent out before the wedding do not use your married name.
