I am the Executor of my Aunt's Will. I get 50% of her assets

Customer Question

I am the Executor of my Aunt's Will. I get 50% of her assets and my two brothers get 25% each. My Aunt also assigned me as her beneficiary of her IRA which I closed out for cash.
My question is do my brothers have a right to the money?

No, the IRA account is yours assuming you are the only beneficiary designated on the IRA account. The IRA accounts is not part of the estate that gets distributed if you were designated as a sole beneficiary on the IRA.
