Customer Question

I am living in an alartmemt owned by someone else in NY, and all my ID is from Texas where my original will and revocable trust were drawn. I use a drop box address in Texas, because my health insurance is only sold there, not NY, and I am very ill.,The will had a codicil once, in Texas. The trust has been modified 7 times, in New Mexico notarized there, and in NY notarized there, latest by me using the form from prior. i'm concerned my intent might be disputed.

Thank you for using JustAnswer.

Can you tell me what your specific question is? You mention that you have a trust in place, as well as a will. The trust reflects your current residence, correct? What assets does the will dispose of that the trust does not have control over? That is, is it simply a "pour-over will", in that any assets that you own or acquire that are not in the trust will go to the trust upon your death?
