My husband died oct. 19 2013. we did not have a will. he has 3 children. I am 78 years old, and cannot keep the house in good repair. it is in both our names, We paid cash in 2009, but i am told i have to give half the money to his children if i need to sell it. is there any hope for me?

Legally, if you held the house as husband and wife with right of survivorship, the house passes to you in full. This is similar to any bank account you may have held together.
