Customer Question

My aunt just died. She had no will and was planning on her money going to her daughter. Her daughter died in September,2015. She wrote me and said she wanted me to have her money, trailer house and old car. She has no other children and her husband is dead. I just paid for her funeral and I want to pay her other bills. We live in Texas. She lived in Harris County and I live in Nueces County. Can you give me any advice?

Good morning. I am Loren, a licensed attorney, and I look forward to assisting you. My condolences for your loss.

Are you a blood relative (was she the spouse of a parent's sibling?)?

Did she leave other blood relatives besides you?

Also, is the value of the estate less than $50,000?
