HI - my name is ***** ***** I'll be glad to assist. If she has only a life estate, it should be safe because a life estate is not an ownership interest that has much -- if any -- value. Thus, her life estate in a piece of property wouldn't likely be something a creditor (care center) would pursue because it's basically like a permanent tenancy.

If she owned anything more than a life estate interest, then it could be subject to a lien of the care center or subject to a Medicaid lien (if she were to apply for Medicaid).
