My dad died 2 years ago. I'm sure he had a couple hundred dollars

Customer Question

My dad died 2 years ago. I'm sure he had a couple hundred dollars in his account, AT LEAST. He had no will and no wife. Would that money then come to myself and my siblings? I have reason to believe his fiance may have gotten his money or is trying to. It's this illegal for her to do? Would the money still be in the bank after 2 years of no one did anything with it? Or, would the state have notified us, his decendants of the money left? I just want to know if any monies are rightfully ours and if someone, anyone, has touched it without first notifying us could they be in trouble and what should I do?

I am sorry to hear this. Do you know which bank he used?
