Estate Law Questions? Ask an Estate Lawyer.

I think you meant to write "addendum".
An amendment to a written trust must be signed to be valid, and an amendment or codicil to a Will has to be signed, dated, and witnessed to be valid. My opinion is that the paper has no legal effect, and that you still have a life estate in the property.
I hope this information is helpful.
You do not necessarily need money to hire an attorney.
You can get a free consultation from some of the Nevada trusts attorneys listed here.
A trustee who violates the terms of the trust can sometimes be held liable for attorney fees. Also, since you have a life estate in the house, you could rent it out for a while to cover legal fees.
Please follow up on this with a local attorney, who can help you stand up for your rights.
