My father established an irrevocable trust in IL 1 year

Customer Question

My father established an irrevocable trust in IL 1 year before he died. He died 16 months ago. My brother is the trustee and I am the default trustee. We are both beneficiaries. On my father's death the trustee was to distribute 100% of the estate. I have never received an accounting (or any money). Should I have been receiving an accounting before my father died? Should I have been receiving an accounting after he died?

Hi there. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you.

Can you clarify something for me? Was the trust set up as an irrevocable trust from its inception? Or, was it a revocable living trust that became irrevocable upon your dad's death? Thanks.
