My husband died in January, 2015. We built a house on land

Customer Question

My husband died in January, 2015. We built a house on land that he had before we married and it is only in his name. We have a over 65 deferment on the property taxes. I have his will that he signed at home with two witnesses leaving everything to me. I need to get the land put into my name. What do I need to do?

From facts mentioned you are the rightful heir.

Typically by executor/adminstrator deed you would transfer the land to you personally and record with land records.

Normally this is done quickly and cheaply by local estate counsel as part of estate adminstration

martindale.com and findlaw.com are both excellent lookup directories. Both highly rated. Both used by lawyers. Easy to search and find local options. Good luck. Kindly rate the answer OK or higher.
