My fathers will allows the executor to hold assets for periods

This answer was rated:

My father's will allows the executor to hold assets for periods of time. What paperwork do I need to do if any to "hold" an asset - it's a note from a beneficiary that is not due yet.
In general, no extra paperwork is needed for the executor to retain an asset such as the note you described. It would be included in the inventory as an asset of the Estate whenever you file an inventory.

I hope this information is helpful.
