How do I legally protect myself from harassing neighbors. The previous owner is in a $30,000 plus lawsuit with the POA. One of our neighbors is on the POA. They did not like the trees that were planted and the POA came in and removed the trees. This is not us! This is the previous owner. It seems like the neighbor wants to harass us so we will plant bushes. We would now like to plant trees but can only plant so far do to living on the lake. We need privacy. Does the letter help us at all?

Who is doing what? You mention a suit by the prior owners against the POA for tree removal. How does that involve you? You want to plant trees and you have to obtain permission from the POA. You say it "seems like" the neighbor wants to harass you. There is no legal protection against what it "seems like" someone might do. I can't say what a letter might do. There is too little information provided about what is actually going on. Does this have something to do with your other story about the nutty neighbor wanting to show you the water at night? I'm a little confused.
