From my personal experience and research, I can tell you that unfortunately, if the records have been played and are not in mint condition, they're most likely not worth much, unless some of them are desired by a collector who has that one album or 45 missing from his/her collection.

At your garage sale, if all the albums have been played I would say asking about $5 for each one is a good starting off point, and if the buyer wants to bargain you down, accept between $1 and $3 for it. I'd ask for $1-$3 for the 45's, too, but settle for 75 cents each, again, if they are not in mint condition.
