Headshots and Print Agencies. I have just arranged to get new pictures taken with a friend of mine who is a photography. The moment I have those, I will look into getting comp cards. Doing print work sounds just perfect to get money in the pocket.

Hi Doll,Thanks for starting a new thread. I will post some examples of comp cards so you have a proper guide. Yes print is a great way to make cash but be aware since it Is not regulated by any union, and it takes anywhere from 3 - 6 months to get paid, unlike union work which is paid in ten business days. The only reason I mentioned your headshot photographer is because you got so many excellent shots. I would only use the same photographer if he/she has experience specifically with producing comp card. Make sure you look at their book before making the commitment. Good Morning V, I have always hated picking my headshots out, too many to choose from lol I love all the ones you picked lol I like the following, I will add these to my others :):I have been able to book my headshot photograpghy for June 16th to shoot my print shots :)I e-mailed Roy at Star Trak yesterday and he called me back straight away. We spoke on the phone for a bit and I sent him the voice demo I had. He was soo helpful. He explained that my current demo is not correct for the NY market. I need a minute long demo of just commercials. I will definitely work with him to re-do my voice demo. Thanks soo much for that connection. It's all very exciting :)H

Hey V, These are a few shots I took a few years ago that I could use on my comp card, I just wanted your opinion, do you think I look too young?!? I did them nearly 5 years ago. I will be getting new ones done, but I'm thinking if I should add these.Thanks :)
Hey V again, My photographer here in Montreal, suggested maybe shooting my print pic in NYC because I can get the city in the background of the pictures. I personally don't mind shooting them here in Montreal, I think that could add something different and make me stand out from the bunch. But I did want your opinion.Thanks
Hello !!!!!! Countdown to NYC ...........I do not think it matters where you take the shots as long as they are the right style.Take a look at the print websites I sent you for a more in depth view of comp cards.I am so glad you have been in touch with Roy. He produces great demos. In terms of your older print shots, it is never a good idea to wear eyewear, which in your case conceals one of your best feautures. The other two are a bit outdated in the style of clothing. It is best to start fresh and just use your first name on the comp card.I am happy with the four headshots that you have chosen.
