Can you give me a list of day camps in the DC Metropolitan area (preferably close to Alexandria Virginia or Downtown DC). Looking for day camps by the week, for a 12 year old girl - she will be entering 6th grade next term (just graduated 5th grade). Visiting for the summer, but I need a day camp / supervised activities she can attend while I am at work. Dates: month of June. Can be for individual weeks (the program does not have to be the entire month) - but I am looking for something for each week. My price range is less than $500 / week.
Already Tried: Internet search, friends
Hello and welcome back to Just Answer. I am happy to assist you today. Will you be dropping your child off or do you need bus service ?I will begin working on your question.Veronica
I will be dropping her off
I have begun my search and I am optimistic I will be able to provide you with a few options. Does you daughter have any particular hobbies/interests ? For instance,I found a great "fun way to use Science" camp. Would she love or hate that idea ?V
She would love the science camp. She also likes anything artistic- painting, drawing, pottery, etc... It doesn't have to be a "camp" - I just didn't know what else to call it - but someplace fun / educational where I can feel safe leaving her during the day and where she will have fun while I am at work. Thank you!
Great ! The Science Camp looks amazing and it is in your price range. I am just trying to find an option for the first week, but it is shaping up to be a very fun June for your daughter and reasonably priced !I will be back shortly with a sample itinerary.V
I am trying to find one week possibly at The YMCA. Can you provide me with a zip code ? It will make my search more precise.Appreciated,Veronica

In terms of the first week of June, I did search a lot and unfortunately, there is nothing
that week. Most day camps don't start until end of June so I am glad I was able to
find MadScience, and, it has great reviews.
I also tried to search individual art class but nothing fits your criteria.
I will keep brainstorming and if I find anything, I will contact you immediately,
I hope your daughter enjoys the day camps provided.
Have a great summer and let me know if I may be of further assistance.
Thanks,
Veronica
