My Mother used to recite it. She was born in 1896.

Are you sure this was a published poem from a book, or is it possible that your mother recited it from memory as it was told to her by her mother or other relatives? There doesn't seem to be any poem by that name coming up in internet searches, but I thought if you went through the books at these sites, it may help you find it:
