Resolved Question:

I live in Contra Costa County, the west end. I will have a family visiting Sat. 20th to Wed. 24th. It will include two sets of adult children with spouse, both have one child each, a 3 and 5 year old boy.

With the possibly rainy weather predicted I am at a loss of what activities to plan. Hate to be house bound the whole time.

I need ideas where to go, what do do, indoor activities, indoor venues. Money is no object. We can travel easily by car or BART.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

HiCustomer and welcome back to Just Answer.

I've found the following sites which you can explore for things to do, that should help keep the children interested, and the adults will enjoy the activities, as well. If the weather is not cooperative, of course, you will need to restrict your choices to indoor-only activities.

Cooking/baking, with recipes suited to young children, will also be fun, if you must stay indoors part of the time:

Keeping the kids entertained with simple craft projects suitable to their ages, is also a good idea.

May I suggest that at night (at least one of the nights of their visit), you might get a babysitter for the children and go to dinner and a movie or show, if you think you'd enjoy that.

I hope you have a wonderful visit with your children and grandchildren!
