who has sung the pop song 'love letters straight from my heart'?
Hello and welcome to Just Answer.
There are many people that have covered that song, including Sinead O'Connor and Elton John, and Nat King Cole, but probably the best-known versions were made by Dick Haymes in 1945, Ketty Lester (also 1945), Elvis Presley in 1966 and Alison Moyet in 1987.
Cilla Black also recorded a version for her 1965 album Cilla and it was also recorded by Etta James on her 2001 album Blue Gardenia.
The lyrics are :
VERSE:The sky may be starless,The night may be moonless,But deep in my heart there's a glow. For deep in my heartI know that you love me.You love me because you told me so.CHORUS:Love letters straight from your heartKeep us so near while apart.I'm not alone in the nightWhen I can have all the love you write.*I memorize ev'ry line,I kiss the name that you sign. And, darling, then I read again right from the startLove letters straight from your heart.(Instrumental interlude and pick up from *.)I memorize ev'ry line,I kiss the name that you sign. And, darling, then I read again right from the startLove letters straight from your heart.
The song is called "Love Letters" and is a very popular song. The music was written by Victor Young and the lyrics by Edward Heyman. Interestingly the song appeared in the film of the same name, but without the lyrics.
