Getting a copy of a commercial that ran during the World Series

Customer Question

How can I get a copy of a commercial that ran during the World Series?

I want a video clip version (preferably web-ready AVI or MPEG file) of the Honda SUV ad that ran during the World Series. The ad featured a family in a SUV trying to find a parking spot in a garage. They descended further and further in the garage until that had passed through the earth's crust and entered into Hell. No joke! It was a wierd ad, and I want it for an essay I'm writing.

How can I obtain this ad?

Try contacting:

American Honda Motor Co., Inc.

1919 Torrance Blvd.

Torrance, CANNN-NN-NNNNnbsp;(Map)

Phone:(NNN) NNN-NNNNbr>Fax:(NNN) NNN-NNNNbr>

My guess is that your success in obtaining -- and being able to use --
a copy of this commercial, will depend largely on your being able to
convince the company that your planned use of their commercial
constitutes what is known as 'Fair Use' under United States Copyright

For more information on what constitutes 'Fair Use' -- refer to my answer to this (earlier) question.

Good Luck !

Reply to Oreport's Post: Sorry for not responding sooner. I haven't accepted this answer because I haven't yet determined if this approach will work. I have called Honda twice to speak to the person in charge of television advertising. I've only been able to leave messages and haven't yet heard anything back.
