Hi, my name is***** will be helping you with this question today.

What is your specific question?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
my tsh, t3 and t4 were tested result says my t4 is 7.1 and the low is 4.5 and high is 12 is this considered low or high end of normal? I have so many symptoms associated with a thyroid issue so i am confused
Expert:  Dr. Mo replied 2 months ago.

If the range is 4.5-12 and you had a result of 7.1 then you are in the normal range.

High normal would be from 11.5-12 and low normal would be anything from 4.5-4.8.

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
is it possible to still have something going on with your thyroid if those tests were normal? they were tested because I have had episcleritis on and off for a while now and no one can find a cause
Expert:  Dr. Mo replied 2 months ago.

If your TSH and t4 levels are normal then it's unlikely that something is wrong with your thyroid. We usually don't go based on t4 but TSH, if TSH is normal then there is no reason to thing anything could be wrong with the thyroid.

Expert:  Dr. Mo replied 2 months ago.

Currently we believe that stress or viral infections (like cold sores) could be the cause of recurrent episcleratitis.
