There is not a general blood test for all cancers to that but there are some screening tools for certain cancers. The PSA test is a screen for prostate cancer for example ...normal for PSA is less than 4.0...

I hope that this information is helpful for you..

This is Dr. David

I am a cancer doctor.

if you have an enlarged prostate gland your PSA could be above 4.0 and you may not have cancer .

PSA blood test have to be done along with a finger prostate exam to look for prostate cancer.

I suspect your prostate is enlarged if your doctor is giving you Flomax or tamsolusin to help your urinary flow symptoms.

this medications helps relax your bladder neck muscles to allow you to urinate easier.

how many times do you wake up to urinate?

why are you not willing to try the Famsulosin?
