Is it worrying that my sodium level has varied from 139-145

Customer Question

Is it worrying that my sodium level has varied from 139-145 over last few months despite my always drinking at least 2 liters of water a day? I am terrified of water retention because of having been in CHF after a heart attack over a year ago. Now everything
normal but so worried. Usually sodium about 140 with the one high reading.

any other medical issues?

Nothing although still on HA meds like statin, aspirin, caevedilol. Last sodium was 141 so generally it's been 139-141 with the one 145 a month ago. Does that signify dehydration rather than possible retention?

Yes, it does.

Is the variation insignificant or just mean I may have been slightly dehydrated the day I had a level of 145?
Expert:  DocPhilMD replied 1 year ago.

just slightly dehydrated.
