Would a one-off testing of A1c with outcome 6.35% be a sure-thing of prediabetic?Bruce

Hi there.I am not sure what you mean by "one-off testing", but an A1c of 6.35 is definitely not normal and requires further testing. I recommend you get an oral glucose tolerance test. It is a blood test with multiple samples over a 2 hr period. Definitive test.
I took a oral glucose tolerance test - normal results - about 10 months ago.
Would I need to re-take or consider the one-off i.e., random Ac1 test a false positive?
I would not consider it a false-positive. If you want you can repeat it in a few weeks, if still abnormal repeat your OGTT, or go straight to repeating the OGTT.

Thank you.
