Hello
I have read your post, what tests have you had/
All the blood test ,the last letter i received was that my sodium was slightly low at 132 and my calcium level was 2.07 and my vitamin D level was low and they asked my doctor to repeat my U & Es and also check my vitamin PTH and my bone profile,I am sick of feeling like a lead weight.
And what was your PTH level?
It doesn't give me those levels,I tell my doctor how I feel, but it goes on death ears,Iam Randitine,Lanzopzole,Amitriptyline, fluxoxtine,I just think this is masking over my problems and I dont want to go years again.
And you have seen an endocrinologist?
Iam under one at Hope Hospital ,they are the ones that did my bloods ans sent the letter to my doctors who dont have a clue, the next time I see them is in march,I know it is not long but it is when you feel rotten
I understand. So what question on this condition would you like me to answer?
With the results of my blood could it be my parathyroid that has gone wrong,I have most of the symtoms that points to that?
Yes, it is possible it is your parathyroid gland secreting too much of the hormone
So what tests should I have or should I ask for a scan or even to see a specialist in that field?
You need to ask for a parathyroid hormone level, a serum calcium level (ionized and non ionized) and a serum albumin level
After an endocrinologist has done these tests, then you can see a parathyroid specialist/ surgeon if necessary
Ok,I will ask for them when i Next see them Thanks
