Resolved Question:

I have the following H1A1c values - 1 year ago - 9.1; then 6 months ago - 8.4 and finally about 3 months ago it is at 7.2. I am 47 years, male, Indian origin with a family history of Diabetes (both father and elder brother are on medication). However I haven't started any medication as yet. I have established this through morning walks and some diet control. My kidney function numbers are well within bounds. Liver function shows some fatty deposits - grade 1. Prostrate is boderline enlarged.

Well, let me congratulate you on your excellent lifestyle changes and your A1c shows that. I would argue that you still need meds at this point but if you are able to keep dropping the A1c then you may not. My goal for you would be 6.5. If you can get it below that you are good. PK
