Received my first ever severance paperwork and concerned

Customer Question

Received my first ever severance paperwork and concerned about a few things before I sign.
1, I was told I only have seven days yet the doc refers to 7 days in relation to age discrimination as well as 21 days relating to age discrimination.
2. It states that I can be called to court on their behalf at any time
3. Non disparaging comments toward the company.
Maybe this is all OK...just never had before and wondered if it was all routine and I should sign

It is all standard. The days you have to sign are required. You can often get more time by asking if needed.Testimony is unlikely. It's boiler plate. Key is to make sure get all benefits and nothing left out.I wish you the best. I trust the answer has been helpful. kindly let me know.
