Customer Question

My daughter was employed at an auto assembly plant in Austin, TX. She is a severe asthmatic, and the plant atmosphere was such that it was causing her severe distress. Her doctor told her to quit and find a job somewhere else.
JA: Because employment law varies from place to place, can you tell me what state this is in?
Customer: As I said, Austin, Texas.
JA: Have you talked to a lawyer yet?
Customer: No.
JA: Anything else you think the lawyer should know?
Customer: No, it is a simple case of her being unable to breath at work.

She may now reach out to the company to negotiate a settlement/severance. She left but was constructively terminated, not accomodated, and accordingly to avoid legal action, company should compensate her. She may file for unemployment benefits, and she may wish to have a lawyer hold the negotiations with company for her.
