Arguably you could have a lawsuit for not getting hired for the job in maintenance if you can prove that you were more qualified than the person who got the job or in some way raise the argument that the failure to hire you was due to the guy assaulting your wife and therefore it would be "against public policy".
It is almost a slander case but "sexist arrogant asshole" is really more of an opinion as opposed to a statement of fact and a slander case has to be based on a statement of fact as opposed to an opinion.
