Generally, under a similar situation it would be important to document any verbal abuse, by recording the abuse / insults, getting witnesses, etc..and if verbal abuse continues and is properly documents, the a formal complaint / charge can be filed with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and EEOC will investigate the complaint and will take proper action based on the findings of their investigation.
