My employer's delivery truck has an expired inspection tag

Customer Question

My employer's delivery truck has an expired inspection tag (Texas). I am asked to make deliveries in this truck. Will I get a ticket and be held liable if I am stopped?

HelloThis is Samuel. The inspection is going to follow the registration. Generally, what happens is the driver is not given the ticket unless they are the registered owner. Instead the truck will be towed and the owner notified. The owner will be ticketed, fined and also responsible for tow and storage fees. Any owner who does not re inspect is only asking for trouble. But the driver is not responsible.
